I spent years on stages before I started auditing them.
I know what a show needs, and what it leaves behind.
Musician and performer first, then activist, volunteer and researcher. I build sustainability the way I learned to build anything: with the people in the room. My research method, participatory action research, means change built with people, not for them.

No. A certification body does that. I build the system, audit it independently where I did not build it, and prepare you for the certification body's audit.
It's voluntary, and certification by an independent body is the strongest proof you can offer. You can start by building the system and certify once it has run on real events. In the meantime you can declare conformity yourself; an independent internal audit then matters even more, because no certification body has checked your work yet.
Those are sector labels with their own checklists, and they can be the right choice. ISO 20121 is an international management-system standard: it covers how decisions get made and checked, not only a list of measures.
Every engagement is quoted after a free 30-minute call. The price follows the scope you choose, and you get the scope in writing before any work starts.

The international standard for event sustainability management systems. It covers environmental, social and economic impacts across planning, delivery and review. Systems built on the 2012 edition need to move to the 2024 edition by 31 March 2027.
